Cold Fight

In his younger Knighthood days, Marth went to fight a Frost Plant in order to retrieve its blades and create the best sword. Unfortunately, he failed.
He managed to escape empty handed and with severe injuries. The wounds were so bad he had to be forced to stay in bed for 2 months and be given Healer mist daily.. I say forced to stay in bed because he didn't want to miss days of work. o3o

While he was stuck at home recovering, Vexx went to get the blades himself and give it to Marth as a gift. After some hours, the people began cheering outside and Marth slowly limped towards the door to find out that Vexx succeeded on retrieving a Frost plant blade. The amount of praise Vexx got from the surrounding crowd distracted him from what the blade was really meant for.
Vexx got his sword crafted and his name was carved on it.
This made Marth jealous and infuriated, he locked himself in his room for weeks, not wanting to speak to Vexx.

First his own father's love and care, now this.

Also I forgot to mention that he's ambidextrous, can use both hands equally well, so it doesn't really matter what position the baldric is going.
